This walk begins at the Skate Rink. You can park at the skate rink or across the street. Both lots are free and open to the public. Check and make sure that there is not an event on the day you decide to walk. They Skate Rink parking lot may be closed to host races and events at the park. If you are looking out to the parking lot, from the skate rink building, the wetland trail starts at the opposite side of the parking lot. There is lots of educational signage to help you know that you have arrived. The trail is park boardwalk and park gravel trail. While it is not officially ADA accessible, a wheelchair could make it onto this trail. The trail is a down and back. Walkers who are interested in seeing wildlife, particularly birds, will love this trail - bring binoculars. If you are looking for a cardio walk, this is probably not the one you will choose. A pavilion sits at the other end of this walk. Perfect for settling in for bird watching on a sunny or rainy day.
Water and restrooms can be found in the ice rink and at port-a-potties on either end of the boardwalk trail.
