This walk starts at the Anderson Playground in Schenley Park where you can find plenty of free parking around the playground. Bathrooms and water are available at the playground. Benches are few and far between on this hike so be sure to take your time and turn around if you need to. The walk is a loop but as mentioned above, you can just do a down and back walk. From the Anderson playground pavilion, there will be a tunnel that goes under the road and to the swimming pool. Follow the path through the tunnel, as you emerge from the tunnel walk to the right of the swimming pool and into the trees. Soon after the pool you will see an intersection of two trails. Stay to the left on the Bridal Path. This trail will go about a mile before you intersect with Overlook Drive and Pather Hollow Rd. STOP HERE IF YOU ARE NOT COMFORTABLE ON A MORE NARROW WOODED TRAIL or take this recommended loop for an added challenge. Use caution when crossing the road toward Upper Panther Hollow Trail this is an intersection of three roads and very busy with pedestrians, bikes, and cars. Pass over the road and into the grass on the other side of Panther Hollow Road. Pivot left and down into the woods. This trail has a few steeper pieces but a good gravel path that is manageable for most people. If you use a walker or a wheelchair, please turn back before the road intersection. ALSO NOTE: Many of the bathrooms are seasonal or port-a-potties in the park.
